Online mentor | Brightside | Location: Various

Online mentors share their own experiences of decision making and navigating education and career pathways. The mentoring takes place on the text-based Brightside Online Mentoring Platform which is used to pursue a meaningful conversation with young people that is impactful and outcomes-led.

Volunteer with Shout | Shout | Location: Remote

An individual anywhere in the UK at any time can text ‘SHOUT’ to ‘85258’ when in distress. They will then receive an invite them to share why they’re struggling with a trained Volunteer. Once connected, the Volunteer will apply a 5-stage conversation model to support texters in their moment of distress.

NSPCC volunteer | National Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children (NSPCC) | Location: Various

Volunteer to keep school children safe. Volunteer to visit local schools twice a month and give our age-appropriate Speak Out Stay Safe assemblies and workshops to primary school pupils. You'll work alongside other volunteers to make sure at the end of each session the children feel empowered and know who they can speak out to if they are worried.

RSPB Volunteer | Royal Society for the Protection of Birds (RSPB) | Location: Various

RSPB have all kinds of opportunities, from office-based roles such as working with Social Media, to running a café, to conservation work on one of their many reserves around the country and internationally! People of all ages and backgrounds can volunteer - many RSPB employees started off as volunteers, and many employees go on to volunteer.
